Jørgen Randers

The Limits to Growth, 1972

Jørgen Randers (born 1945) is a Norwegian environmental scientist, dynamic systems expert and Professor of Policy Analysis at the Norwegian School of Management, where he teaches scenario analysis and corporate responsibility.

Randers also lectures internationally on the issue of sustainable development, within and outside corporations, including for The Prince of Wales’s Business & Sustainability Programme, run by CPSL. He was formerly President of the Norwegian School of Management from 1981 to 1989, and Deputy Director-General of WWF International (World Wide Fund for Nature) in Switzerland from 1994 to 1999.

He is non-executive member of a number of corporate boards, as well as the sustainability councils of British Telecom and the City of Rotterdam. He has authored a number of books and scientific papers.
