Emma Mawdsley is a University Senior Lecturer in the Geography Department and a Fellow of Newnham College.
Emma is a human geographer with a particular interest in the politics of environment and development. Her latest edited publication with Gerard McCann is India and Africa: Changing Geographies of Power and Development.

Nicky Dee is a Research Associate in the Institute of Manufacturing in Cambridge's Engineering Department. Following her doctoral research on how new ventures manage opportunities and obstacles in the sustainable energy industry, she has continued to focus on innovation investment in emerging industries and greentech management and innovation.
In her chapter, Dr Dee looks at the barriers and opportunities associated with sustainability innovation.
