May	The St James’s Palace Nobel Laureate Symposium was convened by CPSL in association with the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) under the Patronage of The Prince of Wales. It was hosted at St James’s Palace, the Royal Society and the Science Museum. The St James’s Palace Symposium built on the foundation of a first Nobel Laureate Symposium on Global Sustainability hosted by Chancellor Merkel in Potsdam, Germany, in October 2007. Ahead of the UN Climate Change Conference in Poznań, Poland, the CLG launched The Poznań Communiqué which set out what they believe should be the key elements of an international deal on climate change and was endorsed by the business leaders of over 140 companies worldwide.The initiative represented an impressive coming together of the international business community and included some of the biggest companies and brands from around the world.

In November 2007, the EU CLG joined with the UK CLG to publish a Communiqué to governments gathering at the UN Climate Change Conference in Bali. The Bali Communiqué was endorsed by over 170 companies from around the world.
