Sustainability East Leadership Programme

Together with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Sustainability East, CPSL has developed an exclusive Sustainability East Leadership Programme, designed specifically for local government in the East of England. This course was delivered over five months between October 2011 and February 2012.

Through a combination of high-profile speakers, practical sessions and working groups, the programme was intended to inspire senior local government professionals to embed sustainability into the management and service delivery of the organisation, and provide practical tools and skills to support this.

The Offer

A fully funded leadership Programme*, delivered by PwC and CPSL. 

• A Programme that was tailored to provide local authority decision-makers with inspiration, support and practical tools to develop leadership for sustainability at the local level and implement climate change solutions. 
• Enhanced learning and skills development though participation in action-learning groups. 
• Excellent networking and joint-working opportunities with faculty members and peers from across the region.
• On completion of the programme, free membership of the Cambridge Sustainability Network – which comprises around 4,000 corporate and public sector leaders, and offers regular free events and updates.

* Climate Change Skills Fund (CCSF) is a DCLG (Department for Communities and Local Government) resource designed to further develop understanding of how global sustainability challenges will impact on local authorities. In the East of England the CCSF has been developed and managed by Sustainability East on behalf of Improvement East.
