Finance Sector

In order to address sustainability challenges on a scale equivalent to the size of the problem, CPSL has developed a major influence in the finance sector. CPSL’s goal is to enable a transformational change to a low climate risk economy through large-scale investment in clean technologies and infrastructure, risk management of climate change impacts and policy and company influencing.

A key leverage point that can potentially lead to large-scale change in the economy is the insurance sector. To this end, the ClimateWise Principles were launched in 2007. All of CPSL’s work has the underlying aim of institutionalising sustainability thinking deep within the organisations we work with and place it at the core of their business practices.
